Origin

Native to South America (i.e. Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay).

Naturalised Distribution

Widely naturalised in south-eastern Australia (i.e. in eastern New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and south-eastern South Australia). Also occasionally naturalised on the Darling Downs, in the cooler parts of south-eastern Queensland.

Notes

Pink wood sorrel (Oxalis articulata) is regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.
