Origin

Native to southern Europe.

Naturalised Distribution

Widely naturalised in southern Australia (i.e. in eastern New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, south-eastern South Australia and south-western Western  Australia). Occasionally also naturalised in south-eastern Queensland and possibly naturalised in the southern parts of the Northern Territory.

Notes

Tolpis (Tolpis barbata) is regarded as a minor environmental weed in Western Australia and Victoria.
