Origin
Native to China, the Indian sub-continent (i.e. Bhutan and India) and northern Myanmar.
Naturalised Distribution
Naturalised in some parts of south-eastern Australia (i.e. in Victoria). It has also been reported from the Dorrigo Plateau in northern New South Wales.
Also naturalised in New Zealand.
Notes
This species is regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria and a potential environmental weed in the wider Sydney and Blue Mountains region of New South Wales. It is invading damp eucalypt forests and moist montane forests in Victoria.
