Native to south-western Africa (i.e. western South Africa).
Naturalised Distribution
Naturalised some parts of south-eastern Australia (i.e. naturalised in the coastal districts of central and northern New South Wales, in southern Victoria and in south-eastern South Australia).
Notes
African furze (Muraltia heisteria) is regarded as an environmental weed in South Australia and is listed as a priority environmental weed in at least one Natural Resource Management region.
