Origin
Native to north-western Africa (i.e. Algeria and Morocco), Europe (i.e. Austria, Belgium, Hungary, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Romania, Yugoslavia, France, Portugal and Spain) and western Asia (i.e. Cyprus and Turkey).
Naturalised Distribution
Widely naturalised in many parts of south-eastern Australia (i.e. in some parts of central and southern New South Wales, in central and northern Victoria, in Tasmania and in south-eastern South Australia).
Also widely naturalised in the USA and Canada.
