Native to southern Africa (i.e. Natal and Cape Province in South Africa).
Naturalised Distribution
This species is becoming widely naturalised in parts of southern Australia (i.e. in eastern New South Wales, in many parts of South Australia, in southern Western Australia and sparingly naturalised in Victoria).
Notes
Bowie's wood sorrel (Oxalis bowiei) is regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria and Western Australia.
