Origin
Native to western and southern Europe.
Naturalised Distribution
Widely naturalised is southern Australia (i.e. in some parts of eastern New South Wales, in Victoria and Tasmania, in south-eastern South Australia, and in south-western Western Australia).
Also naturalised in the USA (i.e. California, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi) and Hawaii.
Notes
Yellow bartsia (Parentucellia viscosa) is regsrded as an environmental weed in Victoria and Western Australia.
