Origin
The exact native range of this species is obscure, however it is considered to be native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean region.
Naturalised Distribution
Widely naturalised in southern and eastern Australia (i.e. in southern and central Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, many parts of South Australia and the southern and western oarts of Western Australia). Also naturalised in the southern parts of the Northern Territory, and on Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.
Notes
Fourleaf allseed (Polycarpon tetraphyllum) is sometimes regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria and Western Australia.
