Origin
Native to southern Africa (i.e. South Africa).
Naturalised Distribution
widely naturalised in southern Australia (i.e. in western New South Wales, north-western Victoria and many parts of South Australia). Possibly also naturalised in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Wiry noon-flower (Psilocaulon granulicaule) is regarded as a minor environmental weed or potential environmental weed in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
