Origin

Native to Europe, western and northern Asia (i.e. Afghanistan, north-eastern Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, northern and western China, Japan and Korea), the Indian Sub-continent (i.e. Pakistan) and North America (i.e. Canada, Alaska and the USA).

Naturalised Distribution

Widely naturalised in southern and eastern Australia (i.e. in eastern Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, south-eastern South Australia and south-western Western Australia).

Naturalised overseas in New Zealand and southern South America.

Notes

Yellow marsh-cress (Rorippa palustris) is regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria, and sometimes as a minor environmental weed in Queensland and Tasmania.
