Naturalised Distribution
Naturalised in some parts of south-eastern Australia (i.e. Victoria and the central tablelands region of New South Wales).
Widely naturalised in other parts of the world, including in large parts of North America (i.e. Canada and the USA).
Notes
White willow (Salix alba var. alba) is regarded as an environmental weed or potential environmental weed in Victoria, Tasmania, the ACT and New South Wales. As one of the willows, it is regarded as a Weed of National Significance (WoNS). However, it is less invasive and less widespread than golden willow (Salix alba var. vitellina).
