Hybrid weeping willow (Salix x sepulcralis nothovar. sepulcralis) is a horticultural hybrid of white willow (Salix alba var. alba) and weeping willow (Salix babylonica).
Naturalised Distribution
Widely naturalised in south-eastern Australia (i.e. New South Wales and Victoria).
Notes
Hybrid weeping willow (Salix x sepulcralis nothovar. sepulcralis) is regarded as an environmental weed or potential environmental weed in New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria. It is one of the willows (Salix spp.) that together as a group are regarded as a Weed of National Significance (WoNS).
Hybrid weeping willow (Salix x sepulcralis nothovar. sepulcralis) has become invasive along waterways, in wetlands, in riparian areas, around dams and in similar moist places in the temperate regions of Australia.
