Origin

Native to South Africa.

Naturalised Distribution

Widely naturalised in the coastal districts of southern Australia (i.e. in south-western Western Australia and south-eastern South Auatralia). It was also naturalised in coastal Victoria, but is now thought to be extinct in this state.

Notes

Sea spinach (Tetragonia decumbens) is regarded as an environmental weed in Western Australia and South Australia.
