Origin
Native to north-western Africa (i.e. Morocco), the Azores, the Madeira Islands and western Europe (i.e. Belgium, France, Portugal and Spain).
Naturalised Distribution
Widely naturalised in southern Australia (i.e. in many parts of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, in south-eastern South Australia and in south-western and southern Western Australia). Occasionally also naturalised in the cooler sub-coastal parts of south-eastern Queensland and sparingly naturalised in the ACT.
Naturalised overseas in southern USA (i.e. California and South Carolina).
Notes
Drooping-flower clover (Trifolium cernuum) is regarded as an environmental weed in Western Australia and Victoria.
