Origin
Native to north-western Africa (i.e. Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia), the Azores, the Madeira Islands, the Canary Islands southern Europe (i.e. Italy, France, Portugal and Spain).
Naturalised Distribution
Naturalised is some parts of south-eastern Australia (i.e. near Melbourne in southern Victoria and in south-eastern New South Wales). It has also been recorded in the ACT.
Also naturalised in some parts of southern USA (i.e. California, Mississippi and Alabama) and in New Zealand.
Notes
French tiny vetch (Vicia disperma) is regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria.
