Origin
Native to northern Africa, the Azores, the Madeira Islands, the Canary Islands, western and southern Europe, hte middle-east and western Asia.
Naturalised Distribution
Widely naturalised in southern Australia (i.e. in some parts of southern and central New South Wales, in Victoria and Tasmania, in many parts of South Australia, and in the coastal districts of south-western Western Australia).
Notes
Fiddle dock (Rumex pulcher subsp. pulcher) is regarded as an environmental weed in Victoria and Western Australia.
