Origin

This species is native to large parts of the world (i.e. Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas). It is also considered to be native to large parts of eastern Australia (i.e. south-eastern Queensland, eastern New South Wales, the ACT and eastern Victoria).

Naturalised Distribution

Naturalised in the coastal districts of south-western Western Australia.

Notes

Brookweed (Samolus valerandi) is regarded as an environmental weed in Western Australia.
